GOALS

         The KMYO Finance Program was initially established with the aim of educating intermediate staff in the fiscal disciplines of government institutions and meeting their needs. The aim of the program is to educate the students about the domestic economy and the working rules on world economies and train them in line with the needs of the public sector. It also meets the needs of financial institutions operating in the private sector.

In addition to the basic courses of the students, the students take courses such as law as well as theoretical and practical courses in the field of economics and business administration. Courses such as statistics and mathematics are also supported courses.

Departmental graduates work in many public institutions such as Ministry of Finance Ministry of Finance and Interior Ministry of Interior, Undersecretariat of Treasury and State Planning Organization.

OBJECTIVES

It is to educate individuals who are entrepreneurial, self-confident and use scientific knowledge in an innovative way, equipped with professional knowledge that tends to adapt to the requirements of global developments in the field of finance in the globalizing world.

Vertical Transition Facilities

The finance professionals who have completed the associate degree education can transfer to the undergraduate programs of the faculties related to the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by ÖSYM (DGS). Undergraduate programs in which graduates of finance department graduates can transfer vertically;

Employment Opportunities

Employment opportunities for graduates are quite extensive. The professions of the finance professions are in charge of the budget of the Ministry of Customs and other public institutions in the State Economic Enterprises, in the local administrations, in the central and provincial organizations of the Ministry of Finance and in the Directorates of Commodities, Tax Offices, Social Insurance Institution, State Planning Organization, And their income-related units. They can also work in banks and in the financial units of private sector organizations or in chartered accountants, self-employed accountants and accountants.

 The graduates are able to work with the title of "Certified Public Accountant" by opening an office on their behalf after completing necessary training and internships, except for the above mentioned fields of study. In addition, they will have the opportunity to become a Financial Advisor after completing their undergraduate studies in related departments. They can open their own offices with the title of Financial Advisor or they can work as Financial Advisors in accounting units of businesses.

Why the Finance Program

One side of finance is an economics and the other side is an interdisciplinary science based on law. In order to meet the public needs of all public institutions, especially the state, the expenditures they make to produce public goods, and the income needed to make these expenditures, as well as the balance between income and expenditure, is the science. Finance examines the financial events and the relationship between the state and society.

The primary goal of the Finance Department is to provide the students with the scientific and professional skills necessary to assume responsibility as middle and top level managers in public sector in general. In order to achieve this goal, it is implementing a detailed program that will enable the understanding of public finance and taxation issues in all dimensions. Finance department students are trained to be able to work in many fields of public and private sector. Thanks to the Finance department program, departmental graduates have the opportunity to find an extremely wide range of jobs. Graduates are able to work in many different areas such as inspectors, accountancy specialists, incomes controller, auditors, financial consultants, customs consultancy, private sector organizations, banks.
